Does a tattoo hurt?

NO! It feels like a thousand unicorn smiles, or a million leprechaun laughs. Seriously of course it does....a little bit! It is more of a slight discomfort than actual pain. Most people barely feel it and consider it less painful than a cat scratch. Remember everyone is different, what's hot for some is cold for others. Some say the discomfort has a hot or warm feeling to it. More information can be found at our tattoos page.

More information can be found at our piercing page.

How much does it cost to get a tattoo?

The price of a Tattoo depends entirely on the body placement, amount of detail, amount of color, and size of a tattoo design. Generally, the average tattoo can cost between $60 to as high as a few hundred dollars, but the sky is the limit. All tattoos are individually quoted by the artist performing the procedure. We do not provide email, web based, or Internet based pricing quotes. Large, highly detailed, or custom tattoos are more expensive and are billed at an industry hourly rate. As a service to our customers, appointment consultations and tattoo procedure quotes are free and recommended. More information can be found at our tattoos page.

How much does it cost to get a piercing?

The price of a Piercing depends on the particular procedure and sometimes the type of jewelry. As a service to our customers, body jewelry is free with every new piercing. Low prices versus high prices, which is best?

Neither! Price isn't always everything, but the price of a tattoo or piercing should be fair. In life, you get what you pay for. Cheap prices usually mean poor quality or substandard conditions. However, expensive prices won't guarantee you a quality tattoo or piercing either. There are other factors that are more important than price, like friendly customer service and professionalism, safety and cleanliness, sanitizing and sterilization procedures, and the quality of work and craftmanship of the artist or piercer. Ink Ink Tattoos guarantees that you will be serviced by a friendly professional staff trained in all aspects of health and safety issues, and get both a fair price and a high quality tattoo or piercing. More information can be found at our tattoos page or piercing page.

How do I choose a tattoo artist?

Choosing a tattoo artist can be tricky. All tattooists will have a portfolio or their work. Don't be afraid to ask questions. With all the digital media and photo editing software out there and with scratchers on the rise, just looking at a portfolio can be deceiving. Some alleged artist will use others work in place of their own. So talking with the artist that will be working on your design is a must. Things to look for in a portfolio are clean consistent lines, never blown out, blurred, or scratchy. All solids should be solid, never patchy or light. Shading should be smooth in transition, never pixilated or inconsistent. A professional tattoo artist will only work out of a professional shop, never their house, your house, garage or basement! With all this knowledge and that found on the rest of our site, you should be able to walk into any shop, talk with the staff and receive a mark that will last a lifetime. More information can be found at our tattoos page.
